Vinyl flooring is only as good as its wear layer thickness and backing construction, and this is where cheap unbranded vinyl cuts corners. A thin wear layer looks fine on the showroom sample but scuffs through within a year in a busy kitchen or hallway. We only stock ranges that meet these minimum specifications for the Dubai climate:

Dubai Regulations & Permit Considerations
Vinyl flooring is classed as a finishing/cosmetic works item in most Dubai villas and apartments, so it typically does not require a Dubai Municipality building permit on its own. However, if the installation is part of a wider renovation involving flooring level changes, wet-area waterproofing, or common-area access in a managed community or tower, you will usually need a community NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the developer or owners’ association before work starts — DAMAC, Emaar and Nakheel communities each have their own contractor registration and working-hours rules. We handle NOC paperwork and contractor registration as part of our project management on managed communities and towers.
One issue specific to vinyl worth flagging: floors that were laid without acclimatising the planks or sheets to room temperature first. Vinyl needs to sit in the room it will be installed in for several hours before fitting, especially in Dubai where material can arrive from an air-conditioned warehouse into a much warmer or cooler site. Skipping this step is a common cause of gapping at the seams within the first few weeks, and it is one of the checks our installers always carry out before starting.
