Furniture Wrapping Dubai
Furniture wrapping bonds a self-adhesive architectural vinyl film over an existing piece of furniture — a dining table, desk, TV unit, sideboard, reception counter or bookcase — to change its finish without replacing it. It works on any smooth, non-porous surface: solid wood, MDF, veneer, laminate and most painted or powder-coated finishes.
This is the broadest category in our wrapping range, and also the one where “it depends on the piece” is genuinely true. A flat-fronted TV console wraps cleanly in an afternoon. A dining table that sees hot pans and daily spills needs a heat-resistant, food-safe-adjacent film and properly sealed edges. A curved chair leg needs a film rated for tight radius work, applied with heat, or it will crack at the curve within weeks.
Because we run technical services crews across residential and commercial sites, office and hospitality furniture wrapping is something we schedule properly rather than squeeze in — reception desks, meeting tables and F&B counters are wrapped out of hours or over a weekend so the business reopens Monday with nothing lost.
We wrap furniture across Dubai homes, offices, hotels and F&B venues, and if a piece has a structural fault a wrap cannot fix — a genuinely broken joint, water-swollen board, or a shape unsuitable for film — our carpentry team can repair or rebuild it instead.
A single flat-fronted piece is typically wrapped in a few hours. Multi-item office and F&B jobs are usually complete within a day.
Office, retail and F&B furniture wrapped overnight or over a weekend, so operations are never interrupted.
Heat-resistant film for dining and coffee tables, tight-radius film for curved legs and edges, matched to how the piece is actually used.
If a piece has a structural fault film cannot fix, we say so and quote the repair, rather than wrapping over the problem.
Scope of Work
If it has a smooth, non-porous surface, it is very likely wrappable. We confirm suitability at survey before quoting.
Heat-resistant, stain-resistant film for tabletops that see daily use, spills and hot dishes. Chair frames and seat backs wrapped to match.
Home office and study desks wrapped in matt or wood-grain finishes, edges sealed against daily wrist and elbow contact.
Living room consoles and media units, including cable-hole edges wrapped cleanly so nothing lifts behind the setup.
Curved legs and rounded edges wrapped with heat-formed film so there are no visible joins or cut lines.
Larger storage furniture wrapped as a full scheme, including drawer fronts and exposed end panels.
Reception desks, meeting tables and workstation fronts wrapped out of hours, often matched to brand colours.
Wooden and metal-framed headboards wrapped in soft, fabric-like or matt finishes for a boutique-hotel bedroom look.
Bar fronts, service counters and display units wrapped in durable, sanitisable finishes suited to daily commercial use.
Standalone storage and display cabinetry wrapped to match a wider room scheme or a new brand identity.
Local Context
Furniture wrapping succeeds or fails based on three things: the surface material, the shape, and how the piece actually gets used day to day. We check all three before quoting, because “furniture wrapping” covers pieces with very different demands.
Flat surfaces on solid substrates — MDF, veneer, laminate, most painted wood — are the easiest and most reliable category. A TV console or a flat desk front behaves predictably and holds film well for years.
Curved and shaped pieces need more skill. A coffee table leg with a tight radius, a scalloped chair back, or a rounded table edge all need film heat-formed into shape rather than simply stretched, or it will crack along the curve within weeks. This is where the quality gap between a rushed job and a proper one shows fastest.
Usage matters as much as shape. A dining table needs heat resistance for hot dishes and stain resistance for red wine and turmeric — both common enough in Dubai homes to plan for specifically. A desk needs edge durability where wrists and elbows rest daily. An outdoor-adjacent balcony table needs UV-stable film or it will visibly fade within a season, which is why we do not recommend interior film for pieces that sit in direct sun for long periods.
Wrapping Is The Right Call When
How We Work
The same sequence for a single coffee table or a full office furniture refresh.
We check the piece’s material, shape and structural condition, either from your photos or an in-person visit for larger or curved items.
Film samples shown against the piece and its surroundings, matched for how the item is actually used, not just how it looks.
Hardware and drawer fronts removed where possible, surface cleaned and lightly sanded so the film bonds properly.
Flat surfaces wrapped with folded, sealed edges. Curved legs and edges heat-formed into shape rather than stretched flat.
Hardware refitted, edges checked, piece cleaned and handed back. Office and commercial jobs scheduled out of hours where needed.
Materials
Furniture film is selected by use case, not just by look — a dining table and a bookshelf face very different daily demands.
Specified for dining tables, coffee tables and any surface that sees hot dishes, mugs and daily spills.
The most requested finish for desks, TV units and sideboards. Warm, low-glare, and forgiving of daily handling.
Strong visual impact for reception desks and feature pieces, brushed steel and aluminium effects included.
Soft, tactile finishes for headboards and bedroom furniture, giving a boutique-hotel feel without real upholstery cost.
Sample boards brought to site or shown against your piece before any commitment.

Problems We Fix
Six surface problems that account for most furniture wrapping enquiries.
The single most common reason people wrap furniture instead of replacing it. Same silhouette, entirely different finish.
Years of mugs and hot dishes leaving cloudy rings on a tabletop. Wrapping resets the surface and, with the right film, resists it recurring.
Pieces bought at different times in slightly different finishes. Wrapping brings a mismatched set to one consistent look.
Edge and corner damage on veneer furniture. Minor damage filled and sanded flat before film goes on.
Desks and reception furniture in a finish that no longer fits a rebrand or refit. Wrapped to match new brand colours out of hours.
Nothing wrong with it structurally, it just looks like it’s from a decade ago. The most common single-piece enquiry we get.
Investment
Furniture wrapping is priced per piece or by area, since pieces vary far more in size and complexity than kitchen or wardrobe fronts. As a working range, expect AED 80–140 per square metre of wrapped surface, with curved or complex pieces at the higher end.
A single flat-fronted piece such as a TV unit or desk typically runs AED 350 to AED 900. A dining table with matching chairs comes to roughly AED 900 to AED 2,200, depending on chair count and table size. Multi-piece office or F&B jobs are quoted per project after a full item list.
A comparable new furniture piece from a mid-market Dubai supplier typically costs three to six times a wrap, before accounting for delivery lead time and disposal of the old piece.
We quote fixed, after seeing photos or the piece itself, not per hour. Send photos on WhatsApp for an indicative bracket the same day.

If a piece has a genuinely broken joint or a warped panel, wrapping over it is the wrong move. Our carpentry team can repair or rebuild it, and interior design if you are refreshing a whole room rather than one piece.
Get It Right First Time
Most furniture wrap failures we are called to fix trace back to a small number of avoidable decisions, usually made to save time or money on the piece before film goes on.
Using flat film on a curved piece. Stretching film over a curved leg or rounded edge without heat-forming it leaves stress at the curve that cracks within weeks. Any piece with a genuine radius needs a heat-formed application, not a flat wrap forced around a corner.
Wrong film on a dining table. A table that sees hot pans, mugs and daily spills needs heat and stain-resistant film. Standard matt or gloss film used on a dining surface without that rating will discolour and mark within months.
Wrapping a piece that sits in direct sun. Interior film applied to a balcony table or a piece against a west-facing window with no UV protection will visibly fade within a season. This needs to be flagged before wrapping, not discovered after.
Wrapping over a structural fault. A wobbly leg, a loose joint or a water-swollen panel is a repair issue, not a finish issue. Film hides the cosmetics but does nothing for the structure, and the piece fails the same way it would have unwrapped.
Choosing on price per square metre alone. Sign vinyl looks identical to architectural film on day one and costs roughly a third as much. It fails first at folded edges and heat-exposed areas, exactly where furniture takes the most daily punishment.
Ask Every Quote These Six Questions
Aftercare
Different pieces face different daily stress. Three habits keep any wrapped piece looking right.
Even heat-resistant film benefits from a trivet under very hot cookware and a coaster under condensation-heavy glasses, extending the surface’s life well beyond its rated minimum.
Warm water and a soft cloth for daily marks. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which dull matt finishes fastest.
Rotate or shield furniture that sits in direct sun for long stretches. This single habit prevents the most common cause of premature fading.
Areas We Serve
Our wrapping teams work city-wide for homes, offices and commercial premises, with sample boards brought to site anywhere in Dubai.
Questions
Furniture wrapping is the process of bonding self-adhesive architectural vinyl film over an existing piece of furniture, such as a table, desk, TV unit or office furniture, to change its finish without replacing it. It works on smooth, non-porous surfaces including MDF, veneer, laminate and most painted or powder-coated finishes, and most single pieces are completed in a few hours.
Furniture wrapping in Dubai typically costs AED 80 to AED 140 per square metre of wrapped surface. A single flat piece such as a TV unit or desk runs AED 350 to AED 900, and a dining table with matching chairs runs AED 900 to AED 2,200. Office and commercial projects are quoted per item list.
Yes, but curved pieces need film heat-formed into shape rather than stretched flat, otherwise the film cracks along the curve within weeks. Any coffee table leg, chair back or rounded table edge should be quoted as a heat-forming job specifically, and it is worth asking a wrapping company directly whether they do this.
Yes, typically by a factor of three to six. A single wrapped piece costs roughly AED 350 to AED 900 against AED 1,500 or more for a comparable new piece from a mid-market Dubai supplier, before accounting for delivery lead time and disposal of the old item.
Furniture wrapping applies a manufactured vinyl film over the existing surface, while refinishing (staining, painting or lacquering) reworks the actual surface material. Wrapping is faster, available in far more finishes including wood grain and stone effects, and produces no sanding dust or solvent fumes, while refinishing gives a completely seamless result with no film edges.
Yes. Reception desks, meeting tables and workstation fronts are commonly wrapped out of hours or over a weekend specifically so the business reopens with no lost working time. This is scheduled as standard on commercial furniture wrapping jobs.
Yes, provided the correct heat and stain-resistant film is specified. A dining table needs a different film rating to a TV unit or bookshelf, since it regularly meets hot dishes, condensation and spills. Standard matt or gloss film without that rating will mark and discolour within months on a dining surface.
Standard interior architectural film is not UV-stable enough for furniture that sits in direct sun for long periods, such as a balcony table or a piece against an unshaded west-facing window, and will visibly fade within a season. This needs to be flagged at assessment so the right film, or a different solution, is used.
A professionally wrapped piece using architectural film typically holds up for five to eight years with normal indoor use. High-contact surfaces like dining table edges and desk fronts see the most wear and are the first place to check periodically.
Not as it stands. Wrapping changes the surface finish, not the structure, so a wobbly leg or loose joint needs to be repaired first. We flag structural issues at assessment and can arrange the repair through our carpentry team before wrapping proceeds.
Yes, most IKEA and flat-pack pieces with a laminate or veneer finish wrap well, since the surfaces are typically smooth and non-porous. We check the specific material at assessment, since some flat-pack finishes are foil-wrapped already and need a slightly different preparation approach.
Yes. We bring physical film samples to the piece or to site so you can match or intentionally contrast against existing furniture, flooring and wall colour under your actual lighting, rather than choosing from a screen.
A couple of photos from different angles, plus the finish or colour you have in mind, is enough for us to tell you whether it wraps well and what it should cost. No visit needed for a first answer on most single pieces.
