Custom furniture means an individual, standalone piece — a dining table, desk, coffee table, bench or headboard frame — built to your exact dimensions, material and finish, rather than chosen from a retail range and adapted to fit. Unlike a fitted wardrobe or kitchen cabinet, a custom furniture piece isn’t installed into the room’s structure; it’s a freestanding object you could take with you if you moved.
We build wood-based furniture specifically: solid timber, veneer and engineered wood pieces, cut, joined and finished in our own workshop. If your project involves upholstered furniture — sofas, fabric headboards, cushioned seating — that’s a different trade requiring foam, springs and upholstery skills we don’t provide directly, and we’ll say so plainly rather than subcontract it silently and call it our own work.

Custom furniture pricing depends heavily on material, size and joinery complexity, more variably than most other carpentry categories, since a small side table and a large dining table are both “custom furniture” and cost very differently.
