OVERVIEW
Bathroom mirror installation in Dubai is more than hanging a piece of glass. A bathroom mirror lives in steam and humidity, sits above running water and, once fitted, has to stay level, secure and free of black edges for years. Vision Three supplies and installs bathroom mirrors for apartments, villas, hotels and offices across Dubai: plain wall mirrors, framed and shaped mirrors, LED backlit mirrors with demisters, full-length mirrors and wall-to-wall mirrors, cut to size and fixed after your tiling and vanity are in place.
The common failures are predictable. Ordinary mirrors develop black edges when moisture creeps behind the silver coating, mirrors fixed with the wrong adhesive slide or drop, and LED mirrors are wired without a proper isolator or an IP rating suited to the zone. We choose moisture-resistant mirrors with sealed edges, fix them with the right method for the wall behind, and coordinate the electrical supply for any lighting or demister, so the mirror looks right on day one and still does in year ten.
We have renovated bathrooms in Dubai since 2008, so we can also fit the mirror as part of a full refit with the bathroom vanity and tiling. This page covers the mirror types we install, fixing methods, real AED prices, mistakes to avoid and how we work. If you are also upgrading the shower, see our range of shower glass enclosures in Dubai.
We specify mirrors with protective backing and sealed edges, so black edging is not a problem.
Adhesive, clips, J-channel or hanging cleats chosen to suit tile, gypsum or concrete.
LED, demister and sensor mirrors are connected by our MEP team with the correct isolation and protection.

MIRROR TYPES
Each mirror type suits a different bathroom and budget. These are the six we install most often and what each is best at.
A clean-cut mirror with polished or bevelled edges, fixed directly to the wall above the basin. Simple, durable and cost-efficient.
Round, arched, oval or rectangular mirrors with slim metal, wood or lacquered frames, matched to your taps and vanity.
Mirrors with built-in LED lighting, a touch switch and an optional demister pad, for even, shadow-free light.
Tall or wide mirrors that make a bathroom feel larger, installed in one piece or in neat panels.
Mirrored doors on a storage cabinet, surface-mounted or recessed, for a tidy basin area.
Mirrors with a heated demister pad, dimmable lights and sometimes a clock or Bluetooth speaker, wired by our electricians.
Match the mirror to a new bathroom vanity, and complete the room with frameless shower glass or a shower glass door. Our bathroom renovation team can coordinate everything.
WHY VISION THREE
We measure the wall, vanity and light positions so the mirror is centred and the right size for the basin.
Tiles, gypsum and concrete need different fixings. We choose the one that holds for years.
Edges are sealed and the mirror is kept off standing water, preventing black edges.
LED and demister mirrors are connected by our MEP electricians with correct isolation and protection.
We can fit the mirror alongside bathroom tiling and the vanity so every element lines up.
Mirror, thickness, edge, frame, lighting and installation are itemised so you can compare quotes like for like.
HOW IT WORKS
We measure the wall, check the surface behind it and mark the centre line, light positions and the height from the basin.
You choose the mirror type, size, edge and finish. An itemised quotation follows, usually within 24 hours.
Mirrors are cut to size, edges polished or bevelled and sealed. LED mirrors are ordered or assembled. Typically 3–7 working days.
We prepare the wall, fix the mirror with adhesive, clips or cleats, and connect any lighting or demister through an isolator.
Edges are sealed where needed, the mirror is cleaned and any lights tested. We show you the controls and the cleaning routine.
FIXING GUIDE
The right fixing depends on the mirror size, weight and the wall behind. The guide below shows the usual starting point, and we confirm the method on site.
| Mirror type | Typical size | Usual fixing method | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plain wall mirror | Up to 1,200mm wide | Mirror adhesive with clips or J-channel | Most common; clips hold weight while adhesive cures |
| Wide wall-to-wall mirror | 1,200mm to 3,000mm wide | Adhesive with clips, often in two panels | Panels joined neatly and aligned to the vanity |
| Framed or shaped mirror | 400mm to 1,000mm | Hanging cleats or wall plugs and screws | Fixed into a solid wall or with proper anchors |
| LED backlit mirror | 600mm to 1,500mm | Hanging cleats or brackets plus wired supply | Supply from an isolator, correct IP rating for the zone |
| Full-length mirror | Up to 2,000mm tall | Adhesive with clips and a supporting bottom channel | Bottom channel carries the weight |

As a rule, centre the mirror on the basin, keep the bottom edge about 100mm to 150mm above the tap or basin rim, and avoid fixing directly onto cracked, damp or flaking walls. If a wall is uneven or damp, we fix that first.
MIRROR, LIGHTING & FINISHES
The mirror itself, its edge and its backing decide how well it lasts in a humid room. Pairing it with new glass? See our shower glass partition page.
Smaller and lighter wall mirrors and mirror cabinet doors. Cost-efficient where the mirror is supported well.
Our default for larger wall mirrors. Stronger, flatter and a better reflection.
Protective coating and safety backing film reduce silver corrosion and keep glass together if it breaks.
Polished edges give a clean modern line; bevelled edges add a classic touch. Both are sealed against moisture.
Warm or cool white LEDs, dimming and a heated demister pad keep the mirror bright and fog-free.
Slim frames in matte black, brushed gold, chrome or wood, matched to taps and the vanity.
Bathroom lighting must suit the zone. Mirrors mounted close to the shower or bath need an appropriate protection rating, and all supply is run through an isolator by our electricians. Dubai’s humidity means ordinary mirrors can develop black edges within a couple of years, so we specify moisture-resistant products and seal exposed edges. For hotel and commercial bathrooms we recommend safety-backed mirrors, which hold together if the glass is broken.

Impact damage or edge stress. We remove and replace the mirror and check the wall behind.
COST GUIDE 2026
Supplied and installed, bathroom mirror installation in Dubai typically costs from AED 250 for a small plain mirror to AED 6,000 or more for a large wall-to-wall or smart LED mirror. A standard plain 6mm mirror with polished edges, about 900mm wide, usually lands between AED 350 and AED 700.
Price follows five things: the mirror area in square metres, the thickness and edge finish, any frame or shape, lighting and demister features, and the electrical work needed. Shaped, framed and LED mirrors cost more than plain rectangular mirrors, and a new electrical point adds to the cost.
Our quotes include survey, supply, delivery, fixing, sealing and removal of packaging. Removing an existing mirror is quoted separately, typically AED 100–300, and any wiring of lights or demisters is itemised.

ADHESIVE CURE
From first visit to a finished mirror typically takes 5 to 10 days. Plain cut mirrors are quickest, while LED, shaped and smart mirrors depend on supplier stock. If the mirror is part of a renovation, we fit it after tiling and the vanity are complete.
COMPARE
What is the difference between a plain, framed and LED bathroom mirror? A plain mirror is a cut-to-size piece of glass fixed to the wall, a framed mirror adds a decorative frame, and an LED mirror has built-in lighting and often a demister. Plain mirrors are the most economical, while LED mirrors give the best light for grooming.
| Feature | Plain mirror | Framed mirror | LED mirror |
|---|---|---|---|
| Look | Clean, minimal | Decorative, defined | Modern, glowing |
| Lighting | None built in | None built in | Built-in, dimmable |
| Demister | No | No | Optional pad |
| Electrical work | None | None | Required |
| Best for | Wall-to-wall and budget bathrooms | Character and statement bathrooms | Grooming and modern bathrooms |
| Indicative price (AED) | 250–900 | 400–1,500 | 900–6,000+ |

AVOID COSTLY ERRORS
1. Using a non-bathroom mirror. Ordinary mirrors develop black edges within a couple of years in humid rooms. Choose a moisture-resistant mirror with sealed edges.
2. Fixing with the wrong adhesive. Some adhesives attack the mirror backing and cause dark patches. Use adhesive made for mirrors, with clips to hold the weight while it cures.
3. Hanging heavy mirrors on weak walls. A large mirror or LED unit can weigh 15kg or more. Gypsum board without backing can pull away, so fix into solid backing or with the right anchors.
4. Ignoring the electrical zone. LED and demister mirrors need correct isolation and an IP rating suited to the zone. Never run a loose cable from a socket.
5. Measuring before the tiles and vanity are in. The mirror should be sized to the finished basin and splashback. Measure after tiling and the vanity are fitted.
6. Letting water sit on the edges. A mirror resting on a wet ledge or touching a tiled splashback will wick water. Leave a small sealed gap and keep the bottom edge dry.

AFTERCARE
Use a soft microfibre cloth and a mild glass cleaner, applied to the cloth rather than sprayed onto the edges.
Wipe away water that runs down to the bottom edge, so moisture does not reach the backing.
Run the extractor during your shower and for 20 minutes afterwards to reduce fogging and edge damage.
Gently test that the mirror and any brackets are secure. Call us if it moves or sags.
Ammonia and abrasive products can damage the backing and frame finish. Use gentle cleaners only.
If an LED mirror flickers or stops working, our home maintenance and handyman teams can test and repair it.

FAQS
Supplied and installed, bathroom mirror installation in Dubai typically costs AED 250–900 for plain or framed mirrors, AED 900–2,500 for LED or shaped mirrors, and AED 2,500–6,000+ for large wall-to-wall or smart mirrors. The exact price follows a free site survey.
A moisture-resistant mirror with sealed edges and protective backing is best for a bathroom, usually 5mm to 6mm thick. Ordinary mirrors tend to develop black edges in Dubai’s humidity, so the backing and edge sealing matter as much as the size.
Black edges appear when moisture reaches the silver backing at the edge of the mirror and corrodes it. The usual causes are poor ventilation, water running down the glass and mirrors that were not made for bathrooms. The only real fix is to replace the mirror.
A bathroom mirror is usually fixed with mirror-safe adhesive plus clips or a J-channel for weight, while framed and LED mirrors use hanging cleats or brackets. We choose the method to suit the mirror size, weight and wall behind it.
Yes. We install LED backlit mirrors, including those with touch switches, dimming and demister pads. Our electricians connect them through an isolator with the correct protection for the bathroom zone.
A demister mirror has a low-power heated pad behind the glass that stops it fogging after a hot shower. It is usually built into LED mirrors, and can be added to many models. It needs a proper electrical connection.
As a rule, a mirror should be about the same width as the basin or vanity, or slightly narrower, and centred on the basin. For a wall-to-wall look, the mirror runs the full width of the vanity wall and is installed in neat panels.
Installation of a mirror takes about two to four hours. Including the survey, quotation and 3–7 working days for cutting and supply, most projects go from first visit to a finished mirror in 5–10 days.
Yes. We remove the old mirror, repair or prepare the wall, and fit a new moisture-resistant mirror with sealed edges. Removal of the old mirror is quoted separately, typically AED 100–300.
Yes. We install wide and full-height mirrors in one piece where access allows, or in neatly aligned panels. We fix them with adhesive and clips, or a supporting channel, so the weight is carried safely.
Safety backing is recommended for hotels, offices, gyms and family bathrooms. It is a film on the back that holds the glass together if the mirror is broken, and is a low-cost addition to most mirrors.
